To be African is the choice to define your own identity. To have lived, in whatever varying form, on a land part of a neglected community. The place of origin, for every living person on this planet. Africa will always be home, due to the overriding influence of the many different cultures around me that have irrevocably shaped these first 21 years of my life.

I discovered that I've always gone about a religiously structured method of making, with little room to explore other methods and mediums. I stuck to gouache for my illustrations but also decided to use coloured pencils and my oil monotype skills from our first event. I discovered that I in fact do enjoy using other mediums and methods of making, something I'd like to bring with me into every event we do.
